Thursday Thoughts

“I am telling you the truth: whoever obeys my teaching will never die.”
John 8:51

As we prepare to enter into the holiest week of the church year, we take time to recall the passion and death of Lord. On Holy Thursday, the student body will gather to celebrate a Seder Meal with symbolic foods that remind us of the Jewish people, our ancestors in the faith. This event is sponsored and hosted by the National Junior Honor Society. This is a perfect way to come together as we begin our Easter Break the following day on Good Friday.

As we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord on Easter Sunday, the faculty and staff of St. Benedict Catholic School wish you a blessed Easter season and relaxing break.

Registration

Open House was a very big success with many new families visiting our school. St. Benedict Catholic School registration for the 2017-2018 school year is now open for new and current families. We have received many registration forms, scholarship/financial aid applications, and $100 registration fees PLEASE register early to reserve your child’s place as classes fill up quickly. This current year we had waiting lists in 5 of our grades! PLEASE TRY TO HAVE YOUR REGISTRATIONS RETURNED BEFORE EASTER BREAK!

FINANCIAL AID REMINDERS:

Applications and financial documentation for St. Benedict School and Little Flower financial aid are due to the office tomorrow, APRIL 7th.

Applications and renewal forms for Ed Choice Scholarships are due to the office before Friday, April 28th.

The Price is Right Spring Event

The “Price is Right” took place on Saturday, March 18 and was a tremendous success! A sold out crowd of over 240 people had the opportunity to “on come on down” and enjoy food, games and prizes. This would not have been possible without the help of many, many hands especially our marketing director Erica Miley for again overseeing a wonderful event. Our thanks go out to all…the planning committee, the Board of Trustees, volunteers for the event, our donors, parents contributing to class baskets, selling and purchasing raffle tickets and attending the event… On behalf of St. Benedict Catholic School… thanks for your generous support!
